the amazing things that can happen when God is in control!

Churches operate on a budget. I always thought working for a non-profit zoo was tough, until I came to work for a church. At least at the zoo you can go and find donors, at a church its more free-will giving.

Well, our church is big, and we help alot of people. We build houses, we go on mission trips all over the world, we help local people with their bills, buy groceries, we then intern pay for our own bills  plus the salaries of our staff.

Money has been tight lately. So tight that our finance committee told our Pastor, we had to do a "catch up offering Sunday". So 2 weeks ago, our Pastor began speaking to the congregation about it. He said something along the line of "I don't like to do these things, but this is something that has to be done. We need $250,000 to be back at budget. But I don't want it to be something that we do. I want it to be something that God does."

Usually when churches do something like this, they get a decent amount of money but not the amount they need. So we all, at church, have been praying for God to take control of this situation.

So Sunday was the day. People came to church, visitors were there, Brother Greg preached an amazing service. The offering plate was passed. The church  family prayed.

As of yesterday evening our count was $457,000.00 in 1 day. Yes. that is correct. $457,000
What a mighty, mighty God we serve.

There is no way that we, as humans...as church members, can take credit for this amount. This was all God. HE is amazing. HE is powerful. That money will be so instrumental in aiding others.

So today, I rejoice in the Lord. And I feel blessed to be a servant of his.

Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us…..Eph 3:20
