One year.

Beautiful sweet Amelia,

Today you turn one year old-12 months-52 weeks, 365 days...
It is so hard to believe that this year has already passed us by.

Mia, you are simply a joy. You are so loving and so smart. I have loved the last year-spending everyday (minus 2)  with you. You are my little nugget and such a huge blessing in our family.

You are 29.75 lbs. Your rolls are starting to thin out since you are moving all the time. You can walk but still prefer to crawl. You go up the stairs and back down at least 10 times an hour. You are very much a ham and will do ANYTHING to make people laugh. Your favorite trick is "going bananas" where you dance really fast then laugh hysterically at your self.

You wear 18month clothes. Creeping into  24 months. You wear a size 4 shoe. I can not wait to buy you squeaky shoes to listen to your little feet squeak across the floor.

Your favorite toys are your Disney Princess Castle and Simple Piano. You love music and you sing all.day.

You have 2 sort of loveys. Your bunny and chocolate bear.

You eat everything-except deli turkey meat. You adore hummus & pretzels and fruit and all vegetables. You also love juice boxes. You feel so big when you have one.

Your best friends are your sisters. They have adopted you into their sisterhood and it is the most precious bond to witness. You love going into their room and playing dolls with them. You will sit and hold a baby and wait for them to tell you to "put it to bed".

You do not like to be alone. You always want someone with you-which luckily you aren't picky as long as it's someone. However, you would pick me as your someone if you had the choice.

You sleep good-once you get to sleep. But you don't like the going to sleep process. I am blaming it on teeth. You had NONE til you were 10 months old. Now you have 8. Insane.

Your learning style is "show me once." Once you see something done, you've got it down. This has helped me tons! (Holding your cup, brushing your teeth, flushing the potty) it has also been a challenge. ( opening the deck gate, loading dish soap in the dishwasher, turning on the blow dryer)

Your favorite shows are doc mcstuffins, jake and the never land pirates, and Mickey Mouse clubhouse. You dance to all of the theme songs.

Your favorite princesses are Ariel and Cinderella. You love to make them talk at your princess castle.

Amelia, I am so thankful God gave you to our family. You are going to teach us so much and continue to bless our family with your radiant personality.

Happy first birthday baby nugget.

We love you.

Happy 10 month Mia Margaret

Happy 10 month birthday Mia Margaret!!

You are creeping into your final months before you are one!

You had a big month! You now have 4 teeth! Finally!! And with these teeth comes a new favorite food-cucumbers. You love to eat them. And behave so well when you are!

You also love pizza, pasta, and apples. And broccoli.

You took your first plane ride and did excellent. You are a terrible car rider so I was a bit nervous but you slept or played the whole time!

You went to Disney!! And you loved it!! You kissed all over Minnie Mouses nose!

And you adored Cinderella!
You adore your sisters and you want to be wherever they are doing whatever they are doing. And most of the time they let you.
We have officially moved to Georgia and you are doing very well adjusting! You like your new room and enjoy exploring!

However-you also do a lot of this-if Mommy is not holding you. I blame it on the closeness we had the last month but since we are home-I am hoping it stops soon.

You are still nursing right before bed but you are slowing transitioning to a sippy from a bottle-you love to drink like a big girl...as long as you aren't tired.

We love you very much Mia!!

Happy 8 months Mia Margaret

Happy 8 month birthday Mia!!!

You are becoming such a BIG girl!! This month you started crawling!!! You also say dada and mama and baba and you can do sign language for dada and drink.

You weigh 23lbs and are in the 100% for weight!!

You love to eat. You are nursing 2-3 times a day for about 5-10 minutes and you will drink 1-2 bottles a day. You eat oatmeal and fruit for breakfast-and usually veggies for dinner. You also love mini pancakes (sans the syrup)

You are taking a sippy very well!! You get so excited when u get your cup like madyson and aubrie.

Speaking of the sisters-you adore them!

You trick or treated this month. You were a pumpkin for Halloween-but we dressed u as Cinderella for the princess picture.
You are very playful and love your piano and stuffed animals. You also like doc mcstuffins and Mickey Mouse clubhouse. No matter where you are in the house-if you hear these on the tv you come scooting!

You are such a ham-and love for people to hold you and snuggle you.

We are so thankful for you Mia!!

7 months Mia Margaret!

Happy 7th month birthday Mia Margaret!!! You are such a big girl now!!

You have moved from "liquid baby food" to some with a substance. You liked mashed sweet potatoes the most!

At your doctor's appointment a few weeks ago-you were 21lbs 6.2 oz and you are 27inches long!

You are FULL of sweetness. You smile 99% of the time with that 1% when you are exhausted.

You adore Madyson and Aubrie Kate. They think you are pretty darn cute as well!!

You are almost crawling in "proper" crawling form. You have finally learned to get your belly up off the ground and rock!

You also pull up now-you are very wobbly so I usually make you sit! We are lowering your bed this weekend.

Speaking of bed-you quit sleeping this month (not cool) you despise naps and have been up a lot. I am praying once that tooth you've been working on since JUNE comes through-sleep will be better!

Your schedule right now goes as followed:

You nurse around 6am then go back to sleep til 9/10ish

You wake up and eat Apples and Oatmeal

Then you play and hang out til around 12. At 12 you have a 5oz bottle and a veggie.

Before this month you would nap 12:45-2:20 but this month you boycotted that. So instead we snuggle and watch cartoons.

We get sisters from school and you love car rider line. It's your quiet time.

Once we get home you usually play with them and will take a short (30 min) nap in the 3-6pm time frame.

You eat dinner around 7 and have another 5oz bottle-

Bath-and play with daddy when he gets home. Then you nurse around 9 and go to sleep :)

You are such a joy and this month have been so wonderful as mommy worked on sister's school race. Such at trooper being up at the school a lot!! We are so thankful for you Mia Margaret!!! Happy 7 months!

6 months!

Happy 6 month birthday Mia Margaret!! You are half way to your first birthday!!

Right now you are maintaining your weight at 18-20lbs. You wear a few 9 month outfits,a few 12 month outfits and a few 18 month outfits :) you are in a size 3 diaper.

You LOVE to eat. Anything. And everything. You are loosing interest in nursing (which is fine with me!) right now you wake up and eat oatmeal and fruit 4 hours later you will have a bottle and some veggies (usually a green blend) then 4 hours later a bottle and a small amount of avocado or sweet potatoes then another bottle a few hous later and bed.

You have LOTS of new tricks.
You drink out of a straw now-
You sit up by yourself
You scoot around the floor
You have found your voice and love to talk (loudly) to anyone who will listen.
You love attention and will smile and coo at anyone who looks at you.
And you think your sisters are the funniest thing. You belly laugh at them-all the time!!

You still do not have any teeth-but they are coming!

You are an extremely happy baby-and make us SO happy!!

The most asked question is "are y'all going to have more kids?" We always felt like 3 would be a great number. But now that we have 3-we aren't so sure. I love how madyson and aubrie are with each other-very close. There is a 5 year age gap between aubrie and Mia-i would love for Mia to have a sibling buddy-but we will just see. We are still very open to adoption and have even talked about fostering to adopt. We are leaving it up to God-he knows what our family will look like anyway!

This month we are transitioning into a whole new aspect of "products we love" We still use our Blooming Bath, Cloth Diapers, and Honest Company Diapers weekly. Everything else is changing! I will keep you updated!

What I am loving: 5 months!

Mia Margaret is now 5 months old!! (SNIFF! SNIFF!!)
5monthphto

This month she took her first beach trip! (and loved it!) She is a great traveler like her big sisters!

She now weighs in at 18.75lbs and is wearing a 9-12 month (mostly 12 month) clothes!

Her feeding schedule has gotten better!

She wakes up around 6am and nurses for 10 minutes.

She will have a bit of cereal and fruit (like less than 1/4 cup) and nurse for about 10 minutes around 10-11am

She will nurse again around 3pm

She eats a dinner of sweet potatoes/avocado/ or squash and has a  4oz bottle around 6pm

Then nurses again around 10pm and is down for the night! :)

Amelia is a very happy baby! She is always very smiley and loves to "talk" to you. She will ramble on and on about life :)

She is defiantly teething. She has bumps under her gums, drools all the time, and will be happy to stick your finger in her mouth to chew on.

Our month product list is becoming more big kid like...and that makes me sad :( but I know it has to happen for her to grow up.

This month:

Amelia started favoring the Nuk paci. She still will carry around wubby-but only chews on it.

We are still cloth diapering and have added a few more brands (more on that a little later!) . I do like them when we are home-but I am still using disposable when we are out and about.

She also is enjoying her umbrella stroller as opposed to her big stroller-which I like too!

What I am loving: 4months

Oh Mia Margaret you are 4 months old today!!!

You weigh a whopping 18.75lbs!
WOW! such a far cry from that little 5lb self you were just a few months ago!
Everywhere we go people talk about how "juicy" you are. It is true-you have some amazing rolls!

You wear a size 2 diaper

You are in a 6month or 6-9 month clothing! BIG GIRL!

You love to sleep. Usually a good 7.5 hours a night plus a 3-4 hour nap during the day. (you get that from daddy)

You were going every 4 hours eating-but you decided 3hours was long enough...YAH!

You still nurse most of the time-unless we are out and about-however-this past month mommy forgot bottles on more than 1 occasion so you have enjoyed nursing in the Sam's Club Bathroom & in the Bass Pro parking lot. Joys.

You are a very smiley-very happy baby and love to be talked too, held, and patted. However-you are no longer a snuggler. You get hot-and in Mississippi-hot is the norm.

You like to be cold when you sleep and have stripped yourself of pj's 4x.

This month we have added a few new things to your list of "baby products" and also taken away 1!

We no longer use our Rock-N-Play. Sad. It was my most favorite baby tool. But you were starting to rock a little too much for my liking and with ceramic floors I was scared of you toppling over.

We have added-

Cloth Diapers! And boy do you look precious in them! Right now we are experimenting with different brands of pocket diapers. So far-they have been a breeze to use. Right now my favorites are Charlie Bananas.

Also-after much debate you started having a little bit of cereal this month! I was trying my best to hold you off but you would sit and "mock" us eating. You would have a bottle and 10 minutes later-be starving. So we play with baby oatmeal. you get about 3 tablespoons a day and you love it. It's not replacing any meals but I usually feed it to you right before your afternoon nap-and then you nurse and sleep well. You are also digesting it very well.

Nana ordered us some spoons from tupperware and I love them! they are the perfect size for you and come in a great traveling case.

We have also started using your pack-n-play more and introduced a few "toys". Your favorite is this little zebra-

This month you have a lot of first coming up and I can't wait to watch you grow! So thankful for you little one!

What I am loving 3 months

Amelia is 3 months old today!!! My how it is flying by!

She is 13lbs and 22 inches long! She is wearing 3-6 & 6 month clothes-size 1 diaper.

We are still loving all of our previous items

and this month we added:
A Bumbo
and a play mat!
Amelia is doing so well developmentally! She has rolled over a few times. She has excellent head control and she is very alert now!

Her schedule fluctuates daily (since sisters are home and we have to "enjoy" summer) but typically it is
6:30 wake up/diaper change/nurse
7:00 back to sleep til 9
9:00 diaper change/nurse
10-2 out and about-usually a bottle in this frame (4oz)
2:00 nurse/nap/diaper change
5:00 wake up/nurse/diaper change
8:00 nurse/diaper change
11:00 nurse/diaper change/bed

She enjoys her bed and likes to have a blanket in one arm and her "wubby" in another.

The other night on instagram I played around with picstitch of all the girls at 3 months-who do you think she looks like?
*left to right* Madyson, Aubrie, Amelia

What I am loving 2 months!

It is amazing how much babies change week by week! Amelia is now 2 months old!!! She is becoming more social and starting to finally wake up! (this is her morning smile-she always is happy first thing in the morning!)

She LOVES to nurse. I mean L.O.V.E.S it. To the point where 3/4 of the day are spent nursing. at least 2x a week.

When she does take a bottle she usually has 4oz.

She currently weighs about 8.5lbs

and is officially wearing 0-3 month clothes and even some 3-6!

She is sleeping almost all night with waking up 1x to nurse-but she goes back to sleep pretty fast.

This month my favorite products are

The WubbaNub!

She loves her "Wubby" as we call it. After about 3 weeks she learned to find it herself at night when she needed it!

Similac Bottles-

We received one free in the mail from Similac and tried it out-She loves it. The nipple is very breast like and she seams to favor this over the Born Free we used at the beginning.

Honest Company Diapers:
This one rolls over from last month. I can't say enough good things about them. They are good for the planet. For every pack bought they donate to help families in need, and now they have even created a design that helps wildlife!

Not only can you get a free sample-you can bundle-purchase natural bug spray AND laundry detergent.

Last on the list-
Ivory 2n1 Hair and Body Wash

I received a free bottle thanks to influenster and I loved it for me and the big girls! But then I noticed-I was out of Mia's baby wash-so since it was raining and I didn't feel like getting everyone out to go to the store-I used the Ivory 2n1 on her! And let me tell you-she smelled DIVINE!

and for those wondering-it is safe enough for Madyson's sensitive skin! No eczema flare ups with it!

One Month! What I am loving

**Housekeeping:  with Google Reader going away-make sure you Follow my blog with Bloglovin **

Amelia is 1 month old!

She is still wearing a NB size diaper and Newborn clothes (not to be confused with 0-3 months..we aren't there yet)

At her 2 week check up she was 6lbs 3.4oz :) -I would say (based on her size-she is close to 7lbs now)

Her schedule:
She still sleeps a lot. Usually she is awake (eyes open checking everything out) 4-5 hours a day 2 in the morning and 2 in the evening. She sleeps 3 hours-then diaper change, eats and back asleep.

She gets a little bit of everything when it comes to food. She takes 2oz of formula a day-she has expressed breast milk when company is over and nurses the rest of the time for 20-35 minutes a feeding.

This whole nursing thing is out of the norm for our family (madyson couldn't and my milk went away with AK due to meds I had to take for my incision infection)-but she is pretty demanding and strong-willed and would starve herself if she didn't get to nurse. So, she wins.

She does not cry unless she has a dirty diaper or is hungry.

Some things I am loving this go around is:

The Fisher Price Rock-N-Play. I purchased ours 2nd hand from a friend and Amelia sleeps in this 85% of the time. Since she is so little it snuggles her perfectly. It is also really light-which is great since I have a "baby weight" limit on what I can pick up. "Nothing heavier than the baby..."

Blooming Baby Bath: This was a gift and we adore it! I bath her in our sink because it is easier than a big bath tub. And when we are done-we put it in the dryer-then back in the bag and under the sink-so it doesn't take up a lot of room!

Honest Company diapers: We received a ton of pampers, huggies and other brands of diapers as gifts. We have been using those and are very thankful for them! But we also ordered Honest Company diapers and I have to say-they are the only ones that have not sprung a leak! (and they are so cute!)

Born Free Bottles-We use the glass bottles and they are great-they keep air out and have the perfect flow for my slow eater :)

That is the extent of our baby supplies for the first month! We have homemade blankets and burp cloths and she rocks carters sleepers all day...almost everyday :)

It's been a WEEKEND~

My gracious-we had a full weekend and I am SO tired!

Friday-my parents came to spend the night with us! Todd and my dad went hunting Saturday morning so it was easier for them to leave from our house than try to meet (there wasn't a middle to meet at)

We ordered pizza, my aunt, uncle, and cousins (who moved to Louisiana) came over and the kids played. My sweet cousins met Amelia, and then when they left we watched Les Miserables.

Saturday they guys got up and went hunting-my sister and my nieces & nephew brought donuts over and all the girls (and the lone nephew) ate breakfast, got ready, and picked up my cousin and her 2 kids (4 adults and 8 kids!) and we went to the Mississippi Children's Museum!

my mom with the kids-#8 was by madyson
After hours of playing-we headed to lunch and then did some shopping. Needless to say we had lost our minds! Kids ages 13, 9, 6.5, 5.5, 5, 2.5, 1.5, and 4 weeks....

We survived the day and then came home and RESTED for church on Sunday.

Sunday we got up and had a grand day! I am so sad though-for some reason my memory card deleted over 20 photos I had taken of Todd and the girls and our family-so I have the ones my mom took to share :(

After church we headed out to the country to hang out with my family for lunch and such.

The girls got their-changed clothes and went to the lake to go fishing. (They are my girls!)

um...when did I get a kid this big?

We ate lunch-hunted Eggs-and then the rain came! We got home around 330 and took a short nap-then made dinner and watched the finale of The Bible on History. It was very powerful-and the girls really have enjoyed it. It made the whole "Jesus dying on the cross" idea very real. We have had great conversations each week about Jesus' life. I love exploring the Bible with the girls.

Today we are hanging out-relaxing. Madyson had school today due to a missed day back during Hurricane season.

This week we have our first tball game-Amelia turns 1 month old (OH MY!) and a few other fun projects...

Life with 3 kids, a little bit about Amelia and post c-section recovery.

It's been 2 weeks since little miss Amelia joined our family. I thought (for my memory) I would share how life with 3 kids girls is going-and how my C-section recovery is going!

First-the first week home was-A Lot. Amelia came on 3/3-we had planned Aubrie's birthday party for 3/7 (actual birthday 3/11)

So we got home on 3/5-Todd and the girls had their first tball practice that night. Aubrie's party was 3/7-we had family here-everyone celebrating "The A's) which left Miss Madyson-feeling very left out.
at aubrie's skating party-no I did  not skate.:)

By 3/9-She was falling apart. We both sat in the kitchen crying-5 minutes later-she was better-it took some reassurance to let her know Mommy and Daddy haven't forgotten her-It was just a big week.

Other than that-we haven't had any jealousy issues or other problems. The girls had spring break this week-and I was home all week by myself with all 3 of them. We survived. Not being able to drive wasn't fun-but we made the best of it. Aubrie Kate shared her birthday presents and we made jewelry, colored, did crafts and all sorts of creative things!

Amelia is an excellent baby. I am sure as she "wakes up" it will be more difficult. But right now she has herself on a schedule. She sleeps majority of the day-eats every 3 hours-sleeps a 5 hour stretch each night.

She only fusses when you are changing her clothes/diaper. SHE LOVES being bathed. Totally doesn't surprise me. She always stretched out in womb when I took a bath.

We have a "blooming Bath" and I love it. I know she doesn't looked thrilled in the picture but I was trying to get one without my hands in the picture-but she kept falling asleep-so this is the best I could do this time. I promise Ill get a good one when I have some extra hands.

She is still in preemie clothes-but is slowly moving up to newborn. She is very snuggley and loves to be held.

She loves her Honest Company Diapers. And I received many compliments on them in the hospital. When she thickens up we will switch to cloth diapers and use the Honest diapers when we are out and about.

Aubrie Kate and Madyson both love holding her and picking out her clothes. Aubrie will make sure you wash your hands BEFORE you touch her. She is the GermPolice.

This is my 3rd C-section and the recovery has been great. I was up 12 hours after surgery-showered the next day-pain has been ZERO (praise the Lord). I did have a little set back this weekend. Friday I decided to do the housework and did too much. I have been ordered to bed for the rest of the weekend to relax and they said that should fix the problem.

celebrating St. Patrick's day! Amelia got to come out of her sling for the picture :)

This week we have our 2 week old check up AND AK's 5 year old check up and shots =( So that should be....interesting.

I am loving having 3 girls. I find myself praising God and crying 75% of the time I look at Amelia.  It was really hard the last 4 years wanting a baby and giving it all to Him to handle. I thought His timing was wrong-and that it wasn't fast enough. But God knows. I tweeted this the other day-and want to share again: If you desire to be a mother-keep praying. God hears your prayers and His timing is best!
